Recently come across a seminary principal & pastor talked good things about Africa Churches and the large number of Christians in Africa saying more than 40% of Christians will come from Africa. When I heard this, I had different thoughts and views on this as I come across 1 church in Africa which I don’t have good impression when I visited in South Africa during my holiday a few years ago. At one town in South Africa, I was looking for a church to visit. I passed by a church but the church was closed. Then I went to a shop and asked is there a church nearby to visit, the shop assistant told me there is a church near her shop so I went to visit. The church was in a hall, not in a church building. People were speaking in tongues, jumping around. There was no Cross sign. There were 2 photos frames with a man and a woman in it on a table in front of them. It seems like they were the founders of this church. I don’t know what were they praying as they were speaking in tongues which I didn’t understand. I didn’t feel uncomfortable watching them. Wanted to leave. More than ½ hr had passed and they still haven’t stop praying in tongues. I just feel very uncomfortable and decided to leave. When I left, I felt relieve. I don’t think this is a real church. They were praying to human idols. Worshipping human idols. Not to God.
After hearing from the seminary principal and pastor, I went to YouTube and find out about the African Churches. I saw many things are not right. Mega Churches Pastors preaching prosperity gospels. Pastor bathing many women in the church in front of the congregation telling them they can be pure and clean when they bath naked with his cleansing them on last day of the year 31 Dec to cross over to next year. I was shocked to see all these. Many so called African Christian believe in wrong beliefs, practices and teaching. Yet there are seminary principal, lecturers, pastors praising Africa Churches for high number of Christian.
All the reasons when they were asked why Africa Churches were so successful in having more Christians were wrong. The real reason for the high number is because many African people believe in getting rich, getting pure, clean in a wrong manner, worship idols. Man made human idols leaders pastors, founders of churches.
High numbers do not necessarily mean they are true Christian. The research report statistics of Christian population do not know which church are false teaching.
After I came back from my South Africa holiday, I felt that we need to bring the right teaching to Africa and set up church there. I told my pastor that time about mission to Africa but he was not interested and he sang a song in the congregation not to send him to Africa.
I hope with this video, pastors, Christians with the right teaching will go to Africa and save all the lost sheep. Set up church there. Be missionaries and save them. Don’t let them be blinded by false teachers teaching. Don’t let them become victims.
