Every Wednesday evening St. Paul's will host a tutoring program for Liberian adults and high school students. The Liberian refugees in Buffalo need a lot of academic support, and we are pleased to help out. Wednesdays at 5:30pm in the Walker Room.

VIVE is an interfaith organization which serves world refugees seeking asylum both in the United States and in Canada.VIVE operates La Casa on Buffalo's East Side, a shelter with 108 beds. VIVE provides food, shelter, clothing, healthcare and legal services to refugees as they await their appointment to enter Canada or their U.S. asylum hearing. Every Wednesday afternoon from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., volunteers from OPPC tutor Somali Bantu and Sudanese refugee children who are relocated refugees to Buffalo. The tutoring program covers both academic subjects for the children and life skills for children and parents that help in their transition to life in the United States.
