FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Who or what is ChristUnite.com affiliated with?
A: The ChristUnite.com website has no formal affiliations with a particular congregation, pastor, denomination, sect, group or organization. We are an independent, non-denominational Christian ministry.

Q: Who started the ChristUnite.com website?
A: We did, and we are a nobodies. We are simply a working class, married couple raising a family like everyone else.

Q: What made you decide to build the ChristUnite.com website?
A: We saw a need and felt compelled to address it. Many Christians move into a region, and others move within a region. Also, there are many borderline Christians that could use a boost of fellowship. Many others are just beginning their walk with Christ and need to know where to go for fellowship and growth. Others are grounded, mature Christians who simply need to know where various ministries are for various reasons. We are seeking to support everyone who claims Christ as Saviour and Messiah.

Q: Are there limitations to your listings?
A: Yes. Please refer to the ChristUnite.com Official Statement available here to view the details.

Q: Would you consider listing secular groups?
A: We will consider accepting secular listings that would profoundly improve lives, such as services for the disabled or helping those in desperate need. We would decline secular listings that do not profoundly improve lives, For example, we may list a secular homeless shelter, but we would decline to list a secular library.

Q: How do you get all the information that is on the site?
A: Most of our information comes from two sources: Canvassing the internet, and receiving emails that inform us of listings to add. Sometimes we will also stumble across information in church bulletins, newsletters, community ads, etc.

Q: How can I add my listing to the website?
A: Simply email us at: ChristUnite@gmail.com and let us know what information you want us to post for you. Posting a listing on ChristUnite.com is absolutely free. When writing, please include the following information: Title of the program or event, dates and times, locations, contact information, and website URL if you have one.

Q: Why do you separate "Ethnic" churches from African-American or White churches?
A: African-Americans and "Whites" are from the United States, and therefore are of the same culture. However, other groups, such as Chinese, Arabs, Hispanic, Ethiopians, etc. aren't necessarily United States citizens and therefore have different cultural customs. The same goes for Native Americans ("Indians"), who also have a different cultural base than African-Americans and Whites. Because people within these groups have a certain rapport that only they can understand, we categorize them separately so they can get the most out of their fellowship. (It's much easier to go to a church where others understand you better).

Q: Doesn't this separation of ethnic groups cause divisions in the body of Christ?
A: We don't think so. Although the cultures are diverse, all are brothers and sisters in the body of Christ. We are not promoting separation, instead we are trying to acknowledge the diversity that exists among people, and support the comfort that exists when fellowshipping with others who understand your background. For example, if we, an-English-speaking-couple, were to visit Japan, we would be more comfortable visiting an English speaking church even though we'd still view the Japanese Christians of other churches as our fellow brothers in Christ.
