Second Tuesdays at 9:15am in Room 1 of the Fellowship Building. This group is for women who would like to do light, simple sewing, such as cancer pads. Sewing machines are available for making layette items for overseas use as well as here in the United States. Yarn is available for knitting and crocheting, which you are free to work on at home. Sweaters of all sizes are needed. Dessert is furnished each month by a different women's circle. Everyone brings their own sandwich; tea and coffee is furnished.

We create items for sale at the Gifts and Greens Sale, and also for distribution to needy babies, to the men at Mariners Inn, to local nursing homes, to Meals for Homebound Seniors, to cancer patients, to local police and fire departments, and to other charities or outreach funding groups. We welcome everyone to join us for fellowship and fun. You choose the time that works best for you. We have all skill levels and we will teach you any skills you would like to learn.

First and third Tuesdays at 9:30am in the Mission Room. This group is part of a national organization that makes quilts for those in need of comfort and prayer within our own congregation. When the quilt is complete, we inform the church staff of its completion and a recipient for the quilt is chosen. The quilt is then presented to the congregation and all members are asked to tie a knot in the quilt and say a prayer for the recipient as the knot is being tied. This is truly a “hands on” endeavor in which anyone can participate.

We provide hand made hats to the severely underprivileged children at the Whitmer school in Pontiac. Knitting experience is not needed as each volunteer is provided with a nifty knitter that allows anyone to create hats easily. Training on the nifty knitter will be provided. If you know how to knit conventionally, you may make hats that way also. The hats are distributed to the children at Christmas time along with the Sharing Tree gifts. Contact Kaye Ferris.

This ministry involves a group of dedicated ladies who meet every other week throughout the year (then take the summer off) to piece together and hand-tie quilts. Much of the material used is donated from members and friends of the congregation. The completed quilts have been given to MOST Ministries (Mission Opportunities Short Term) and to some of our own St. Paul mission teams to take with them to the mission fields. No experience required—just willing hands and helpful hearts!
